Dr. Anurita Kapur was invited to she attended a Candle Light Vigil for the 49 people killed in Orlando, Florida held on June 15, 2016 organized by
New Jersey Muslims.   After many U.S. Authorities gave their  speech on stage, Dr. Kapur was invited to give a speech for the sad occasion.

On stage, Dr. Anurita Kapur stated in her speech, “Ladies and Gentlemen and the Dignitaries present: Good evening, Assalamualeikum – Ramzan
Mubarak.   I am very sorry for the tragic loss of over 49 lives in Orlando, Florida.  I, urge everyone to pray with me that may our good Lord God
give the departed souls peace and their families and friends strength to overcome the pain.  We certainly cannot change what happened but what
we can change is to uproot this problem of hatred.  In this case, we need to distinguish between a person with mental sickness and having
personal problems for the way he/she acts out instead of labeling and stereotyping the whole community and religion.  So we need to analyze an
individual act vs. society/community act.  We need to understand that all religions are a way of life that only teach us peace, humanity and, how to
co-exist peacefully with each other.  Thus, I stand with
TRUTH taught to me by my Indian, American and Spiritual Values, I support all my Muslim
brothers and sisters all around the world.  Also, I want to give a message to the Muslim Community that if anyone approaches them to bully them
with racial slurs due to the tragedy in Orlando, then the oppressors should be told that Islam nor their community had anything to do with this
barbaric behavior, it was done by a man who was mentally sick who needed mental help and out of his own personal guilt he committed this
crime not because he was a Muslim.  We condemn these acts of violence against humanity.  Thus, we have to come together and stand united as
one community instead of segregating each other.

Since the American Authorities including Chief and Commissioner of Police and Homeland Security Deputy Director were present here, I had a
lengthy conversation with them prior to the speeches tonight.  I am thankful to the U.S. Authorities on how they are trying to help everyone here
on what to do in case they are being bullied or put racial slurs against and how the U.S. Authorities will do everything to protect and help all the
communities to be safe.

Tonight, I am delighted  to see all the religions and religious heads coming together at this Interfaith gathering:  Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Christian,
Buddhist and Sikh and other sects and saying their prayers for peace at this humanitarian gathering.    May our good Lord, Master and Creator
prevail peace on earth.  God bless Humanity and God bless America.  Amen.  We all stand united to raise our voice against all acts of violence.
Thank you very much."

The Attendees were:  Invited Honorable Guests and Dignitaries: Congresswoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman, Senator Samuel Thompson, Garden
State Quality LGBT Civil Right's Organization, Senator Pat Diegnan, Senator Linda Greenstein, Assemblyman John Wisniewsky, Assemblywoman

Dr. Anurita Kapur was invited to she attended a Conference for "In preparation of the High-Level Plenary Meeting of the General
Assembly on Addressing large movements of Refugees and Migrants".  Held at the United Nations Headquarters on June, 30, 2016.
Organized by The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Right (OHCHR) and United Nations Office on Drugs and
Crimes (UNODC).  High-level Global Migration Group (GMG) Multi-Stakeholder Meeting. Co-Chaired by: The Permanent Mission of
Mexico, And The Permanent Mission of Italy
Intervention by:  Ambassador Robert F. Van Lierop.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS CONFERENCE IS SUMMARIZED IN A REPORT BY THE UN SECRETARY GENERAL (BELOW)
In Safety and Dignity: Addressing Large Movements of Refugees and Migrants Report of the Secretary-General Summary This report, which is
issued pursuant to General Assembly Decision 701539, provides background and recommendations in preparation for the High -Level Plenary on
Addressing Large Movements of Refugees and Migrants to be held on 19 September 2016. The report is structured in five sections, beginning
with a global overview of trends, analysis of the causes of large movements of refugees and migrants and a discussion of their particular needs
en route and upon arrival. Following a short review of related recent initiatives, the report calls for new global commitments to address large
movements of refugees and migrants, commencing with recommendations to ensure at all times the human rights, safety and dignity of refugees
and migrants, among them addressing the causes of such movements, protecting those who are compelled to undertake such journeys, and
preventing the discrimination and countering the xenophobia they frequently encounter. The report calls for a more predictable and equitable
way of responding to large movements of refugees through adoption of a Global Compact on responsibility-sharing for refugees, and by setting
out elements of a comprehensive response plan for refugees. Finally, the report calls for strengthening global governance of migration through
development of a Global Compact for safe, regular and orderly migration, in a process to be initiated now and realized in the coming years.
Introduction 1. Although large movements of refugees and migrants are not a new phenomenon, the images of the past few years have shocked
the world's conscience: rickety boats piled high with people seeking safety; women, men and children drowning in their attempts to escape
violence and poverty; fences going up on borders where people used to cross freely; thousands of girls and boys going missing, many falling
prey to criminal groups. Unable to find safe ways to move, people suffer and die in search of safety while crossing the Sahara Desert, the
Andaman Sea, the Mediterranean, and dozens of other dangerous places around the world. Upon arrival, the rights of those who survive these
perilous trips are often violated. Many asylum-seekers and migrants are detained and their reception is sometimes far from welcoming.
Xenophobic and racist rhetoric seems not only to be on the rise, but also to be becoming more socially and politically acceptable. 2. Away from
the daily headlines and stark images, strains are quietly accumulating on refugees and migrants as well as on countries and communities that
receive them - sometimes for many years. In some refugee situations, a third generation of children has been born into displacement. Local
authorities in all regions struggle to provide basic services, including places in schools, for large numbers of new arrivals. While pledges for
humanitarian response have reached alltime highs, funding is insufficient to meet ballooning needs. Even in emergency situations, early planning
for development requirements and increased engagement of development actors is sorely needed. 3. Large movements of people will continue
or possibly increase as a result of violent conflict, poverty, inequality, climate change, disasters, and environmental degradation. Despite valiant
efforts, our responses have too often been inadequate.

Dr. Anurita Kapur gave valuable suggestions to the UN High Commissioner of Refugees and other high-level dignitaries present to resolve some
matters and ideas for problem solving purposes here.  Her ideas were well received by the dignitaries present.

Dr. Anurita Kapur was invited to she attended a Screening of "Where the Roads End" on July 11, 2016 at the United Nations
Headquarters in New York.

Synopsis

The documentary "Where the roads end" follows young Spanish Doctor, Oriol Mitjà, who travels from Spain to an island on the other
side of the world (Papua New Guinea), where he ends up making one of the most important medical discoveries of the last few
decades: an easy and cheap medical treatment that could eradicate a neglected tropical disease worldwide: yaws. Transmitted by skin
contact and mainly affecting children, yaws causes skin ulcers, bone deformation and intense pain, and is endemic in many regions of
Africa, South America, South East Asia and some areas in the Pacific. It affects more than 40 million people around the world.

After 3 years of intense work and research, Dr. Mitjà demonstrated for the first time the efficiency of a specific treatment to cure this
disease: a simple antibiotic pill commonly used in Western countries was effective to fight this tropical disease. A new strategy for the
complete eradication of yaws has been triggered. The World Health Organization (WHO), after assessing the potential of these
findings, has prioritized it and established a goal: to eliminate the disease by the year 2020. In the case that this treatment works
successfully, yaws will be the second disease, only after rubella, completely eradicated in the world.

former Consul General of India in New York.  The Event was held on July 22, 2016 in New Jersey.

SYNOPSIS
Why would Zia want to climb five floors of a hotel? Why did someone think Zia could fix his TV? Was Zia practicing therapy? What did
Christopher Lee and Alyque Padamsee have in common?

KARACHI HALWA is a witty but insightful portrayal of Zia ul Haq’s rule in Pakistan. Ambassador Prabhu Dayal shares his recollections
of that period and keeps you laughing throughout his account of the bumpy ride of Pakistan’s domestic politics and its relationship
with India. He tells you how a Sahiwal cow was brought into the equation, and where an elephant comes in.

He says, ‘The past, the present and the future are in one continuous motion. Whatever I witnessed in Pakistan during Zia’s rule
extends its long shadow not only over the present times but will do so well into the future also’. He poses the ultimate question
whether the two South Asian giants can live as friends, offering his own suggestions.
